I have been a hairstylist in New York City since 2000. In that time I have had the privilege of training with some of the top names in the hair industry including Vidal Sasoon, Bumble and Bumble and L’oreal professional. I am proud to be certified with L’Oreal professional in Balayage techniques.

After relocating back to my home state North Carolina in 2011, the dream of opening my own salon quickly became a reality in 2013.  I am proud to be a resident and business owner in Durham, North Carolina, in addition to servicing my clients in New York at Dop Dop Salon. Being a stylist brings me great joy and I look forward to meeting you.

I have been doing hair in some capacity for as long as I can remember.  Growing up in Los Angeles in the 80’s it was kind of unavoidable!  I moved to New York 20 years ago and began my professional hair career there.  I have had the amazing good fortune to train directly under some of the best names in the business.  Education is the main foundation of everything I do behind the chair and I continually strive to learn and grow with the latest developments in hair trends and technology.

My approach to hair is simple: to customize everything I do to create the best possible look for each clients hair type and lifestyle.  I am obsessed with balayage and enjoy the range of possibilities this hair color technique can create.  It’s the perfect compliment to a really great cut.

Born and raised in a small town in WI, I moved to NC in 2005. My passion for hair was originally inspired by my love for photography and modeling. Although I did spend much of my adolescents braiding hair and trying cool and funky hairstyles on my friends. I guess you can say this career chose me!

I finished cosmetology school at Aveda in 2010 and continue to learn and grow every day! I’ve had the pleasure of attending several balayage classes such as the L’Oreal Balayage Network class in NYC. I  believe continued hair education is essential in this industry and I take advantage whenever the opportunity arises . When I’m not at work I love being outdoors with my best four legged friend or traveling and capturing as many moments as I can!

Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, I moved to Durham from Baltimore 7 years ago. I have been styling hair for 12 years and love it. My approach is classic with a tendency towards perfectionism.

I like to stay current with the latest trends there for regularly attend classes on both cut and color is of the upmost importance to me. Over the years I’ve had many talented mentors and continuing educations with lines such as L’Oreal, Redken, Framesi and L’anza. I’m really excited to be working with the team here at Arrow Studio. I love meeting new people and welcome all hair types and textures.

The earliest memories I have were all in a salon. I’d go with my grandmas every weekend so they could get their hair set for the week. So naturally I became curious and from that it sparked my deep love of hair.

Since graduating I’ve had some amazing educational opportunities. Education, to me, is number one to staying current in this industry. Some of my opportunities have included going to NYC several times to train along side Arrojo in razor cutting and advanced American waving techniques. I have also flown out to Los Angeles to take some Master Color Expert courses, which includes free hand painting (balayage/ombre) and double process blonde, a couple of my favorite things to do. I also make an effort to attend big shows like Orlando premiere, International Beauty Show, and BTC Color show. My favorite part of my career is making people feel beautiful through hair. I’m a firm believer that everyone needs a custom tailored style to fit their lifestyle and personality. I’m so excited to be in the heart of downtown and look forward to meeting you!

The hair industry was never something I thought I would be in, but I am here and I absolutely love it. I love creating the best possible style for every guest. It is so important to incorporate at home maintenance and the ability to recreate a look, and I try to incorporate teaching into every session.

I love natural, beautiful, stylish hair and find it important to create individual looks for every guest. Balayage is my thing, I have studied and learned from the best in the business and am certified with L’Oreal Professional for Balayage.

Come in and see me for balayage, color and a great style! I have extensive education with Redken and L’Oreal, and am always excited to learn. Education is my passion, whether it is in the salon, on the computer, or in the classroom.

I am so excited to be a part of the team here at Arrow Studio. I have learned so much since joining the team here and look forward to all the possibilities that I have in the downtown area.
